LJ Bird is a creative soul who combines her love for art with a passion for recycling and has been crafting unique bottle cap art since 2020. Her journey started years ago when she asked friends to save bottle caps for a future project. Her first creation, a colorful crab made from various beer caps, was a housewarming gift and the start of her artistic adventure.

 
An eco-friendly artist at heart, LJ focuses on creating unique pieces from recycled items like beer bottle caps, aluminum cans, wine corks, and pallet wood. When wood prices skyrocketed during COVID, she switched to using salvaged wood, perfectly fitting her “don’t throw that away, I can use it” mindset. She gets donations from fellow recyclers, local bars, and friends, turning these into popular designs like crabs, pineapples, palm trees, and American flags. 

LJ’s art is handmade with a lot of love and attention to detail. She spends a lot of time picking, cutting, sanding, and staining discarded wood to create unique boards for her bottle cap art. She’s committed to using quality supplies to make sure her pieces are durable and long-lasting.
